The Home Depot is a great company. However, the ones that have been selected to run the operations of the company are of the poorest decisions a company could ever make. Every company has policies that are in place to make the company run in an efficient manner, and to address any issues that may arise. The problem is, and this has become an epidemic within most large companies, is that those who are entrusted to run the business by the guidelines laid out in those policies can be reinterpreted and twisted to conform on how the individuals in charge want to run things. The leaders will use policy against you should you speak up about any wrongdoing, such as contacting corporate when the issues need to be addressed. The leaders will retaliate through assigning duties far out of your positions scope, bullying meetings to discourage contacting HR or other channels in corporate, and termination on false and made up accusations. This happened to me after many years with the company with no disciplinary actions for anything other than being late a couple of times due to unforeseen circumstances. When accused of violating policy, I asked specifically what was done and was lied to, saying that I did something that wasn't even possible for anyone outside of the company's IT department could do. When asked to see what kind of evidence was against me, that request was refused. Should you decide to work for this company, it is highly recommended that union workers start coming in and get at least 100 in the door to start making changes for more employee protection. At first this may be very difficult as this company has video training and curriculum instructing employees to avoid the union and deter them from joining as an employee. It pretty much says you will be terminated for trying without verbally saying you will be terminated for trying. As it stands right now in the workforce, companies are allowed to curse and yell at you, retaliate, discriminate, and many other things. And as long as these actions are not or can't be proven to be issues with race, religion, sex, creed or any of those protected by law, there is nothing you can legally do about it. You can be fired just because they don't like you and it's perfectly legal. I spoke with attorneys about this and that without repeating everything word for word, is what was told to me in exact. This is not just 1 state, it is all 50 with Montana being just a fraction of a percent better. I am eligible for rehire after 1 year, but after this post and exposing some of the things going on, I will most likely be blacklisted and banned from employment. That is unless the union can get in the doors. Things are only getting worse in the American workforce. I know I and many other don't wish to pay for things that do not show a lot of visible return, but these days employee protection is almost non existent without a union behind you. This is a wake-up call for all workers in this country, don't be like me and wait until it's too late. Join the union and get these employers under control, because you are all in the same danger. Do not fall for the open door policy, it's not there to help the little guy. Open door policies are only used as early warning systems for the company so they can quickly scramble and cover themselves on all corners, while devising a way to get rid of you. Even asset protection, which is supposed to protect employees as they are quoted to also be company assets, will fail you in the most miserable ways. And in case you need a visual, especially avoid anywhere you see the following people. I have added the updated pic of the devious liar who has the biggest smile ever for anyone who has allegedly had an employee's life end under their leadership from another location.
