From a Corporate Executive standpoint, the thought of having to post a review on another company to illicit an response to several calls is alarming by any standard. Our company custom built a very expensive custom food unit for our wonderful Clients in Louisiana. The unit was somehow lost in transit, and arrived to our Clients completely destroyed.

After numerous unanswered phone calls, and hours of being on hold over the span of a week, we are resorted to posting this review on our Clients behalf.

Worst shipping experience possible. A week past the estimated delivery, and the shipment is sitting on a truck, CARGO WAS PICK UP ON THE 11 , AND TODAY IS 25 AND I DONT HAVE ANY RESPONSE. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE , don't return calls or emails OVER AN HOUR WAITING AND THIS GUYS END THE CALL ( PROOF ATTACHED )WORST FREIGHT COMPANY ...... WE AWARE - PROOF ATTACHED...

Tracking shows my shipment getting picked up....and that's it. 14 days later, no updates. Called company and for multiple hours over multiple days. Their phone system repeatedly put me on hold for between 20 minutes to an hour and then just hangs up. E-mailed customer service and they responded once with a statement they would look into it. Thankfully, the company sending me my order has agreed to send a new order with a different shipper. I would say this level of service from Clear Lane Freight borders on criminal- seriously. Taking items valued at over $5k and disappearing them and then refusing to answer the phone or e-mail strikes me as criminal. Basically theft. Person responding to these reviews directs you to contact her, but gives no way to do that.

Clearly damaged my pallet since I have photos from the drop ship company before they delivered my items. Paid for insurance but they denied the claim stating I didn't have 'clear proof of delivery." Really? The multiple photos and documentation you required didn't meet that requirement? What a joke.

I have been trying to figure out where my package is. I have called several times - no one picks up. I used the website to track the order and until today, it had no information then suddenly this information shows up. It says the pickup was cancelled? But it also says delivered? How does that make ANY sense. Who cancelled the pickup? Why does it say delivered? This is probably the worst freight company I've ever dealt with and I've been in the freight business for 2 years.

I will be filing a report with the BBB unless you provide me with clear instructions for how to speak with someone at your company.

Update: Finally got someone on the phone - a nice employee who obviously is just trying to do his job. Apparently a truck came to pick up my shipment at 4PM almost two weeks ago, and Clearlane said the shipment wasn't there? When it fact it was. So the truck left. Now they don't even know where my shipment is! How does one lose a large shipment like this? And how is a truck turned away with incorrect information? ALSO - how was I not notified of the error until almost TWO weeks later when I was the one who called in to check? This is absolutely crazy.

We use a brokerage company to ship out large shipments almost daily. This was our first time accepting Clear Lane Freight Systems quote. We were quoted a 5 day transit time; and being we ship all the time I completely understand delays (to a point) and early deliveries on transit time; so I gave it a week, and the shipment still didn't arrive to our customer. I would have felt much better if they gave a lead time of one-two-even three weeks in the beginning. At least at that point I wouldn't have to try to explain myself to my customer after telling him the transit time I was given. If they were honest right away when we accepted their quote instead of listing a five day transit; and then after I called I was told to "never go off of the estimated time of arrival from the quote" I thought that was odd why have an ETA on the quote if someone should never go off of it? They reassured me the shipment would be at our customers location the following Monday (today). Well today came around and I checked the tracking information to find they changed the ETA (AGAIN) from today to next Monday. I was very surprised to read this, so I called CLF to see what was going on with the shipment. Not getting very far with the information I received from them, I called our broker company to figure out what we were going to do with our customer who has been expecting this shipment for far too long. Our broker took the initiative to contact our customer and let him know what was going on. We have specifically asked our broker to take Clear Lane Freight off of the list they give us when we request quotes for shipments. We will NEVER use this company again.

Do not book with this company if you need your goods in a timely fashion. We booked a shipment in Oct for a 5 day transit time and now they are telling us (14 days later) that it might take another 5 days for a total of 20 days. No apology other than "This is pretty typical for Clear Lane" from their own rep. I could have walked the distance faster than they can deliver. DO NOT USE. (unless you are looking for free temporary storage)

ETA: Hi Emily. Thanks for your reply. I don't know how to reply to a reply, so hopefully this will work. The Masterbill of lading does not populate in your system, but this is for 2 pallets from 07032 to 78132. The freight is currently in Dallas

Worst company I've ever worked with. Cannot trust goods to be delivered. My company has used Clear Lane several times. Sometimes, the service is as expected: cheaper and slower, but goods arrive to destination on time. This is wonderful. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with several horrible problems and have had the absolute worst experience dealing with their claims department. Claims, despite the guidelines on their website, are ignored. 160 days later and no resolution. Finally I received a passive aggressive note from the head of claims blaming our customer and questioning the validity of our claim after zero follow through for over 5 months. In another instance, Clear Lane acknowledged having lost 46 cases of our product. Not only did we have to pay the bill for the freight here, they have not acknowledged the claim. How do they possibly operate in such an unethical, deceitful manner? They take merchandise and money and dodge and means of communication.
