If you need food assistance and inquire here be ready to have patience. This place is unorganized . I showed up one day to get assistance, they were out of food but told me to come back on Friday. The lady I spoke to told me I could have an emergency box even if I didn’t live in Marshal county.
I show up today and was turned away first. I explained my situation and after a discussion with the director was told I d be granted a box. There are elderly volunteers , one tells you one thing and another tells you something else. Very frustrating and confusing. They need to all be on the page one tells you can park where you are, the next tells you to move your car. They need signs , explanation with steps POSTED. Like from 1 to -5 steps. They need designated authority! Not everyone trying to be in charge. I ve been to several pantries and this was the worst. The food variety is good however. I’ll not ever seek help here again. Too much commotion. I would have just left when they turned me away initially, but thought no! I burned gas for nothing , I’m going to try to get something since I was told I could. I’m grateful for it all, but if you’re in a time crunch or impatient don’t go.
